Dave Grohl |
Relationships Suck |
"Stranger Things have Happened" was released on the Foo Fighters newest album "Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace". The album debuted to critical acclaim and huge success; winning a Grammy in 2008 for "Best Rock Album" and becoming 1 out of only 9 albums in history to spawn 3 number 1 hits on the Modern Rock Tracks Chart. Despite the success of other songs on the album "Stranger Things Have Happened" has managed to fly under the radar.
Multi-faceted Grohl proves that he is just as impressive screaming out songs like "The Pretender" in front of hundreds of thousands of fans as he is sitting alone and playing an acoustic. To me the ultimate proof of an artists worth is defined by their ability to play solo with an acoustic guitar - and Dave Grohl proves he can do that tenfold.
Goddamn this dusty room
This hazy afternoon
I'm breathing in this silence
Like never before
This feeling that I get
This one last cigarette
As I lay awake
And wait for you to come through the door
Oh maybe maybe maybe
I can share it with you
I behave I behave I behave
So I can share it with you
You were not alone
Dear loneliness
You forgot
But I remembered this
Oh stranger stranger
Stranger things have happened, I know
I'm not alone
Dear loneliness
I forgot
That I remembered this
Oh stranger stranger
Stranger things have happened, I know
Oh, oh
We'll dream about somewhere
Our smoke will fill the air
As I lay awake and wait
For you to walk out that door
I can change I can change I can change
But who do you want me to be
I'm the same I'm the same I'm the same
What do you want me to be
You were not alone
Dear loneliness
You forgot
But I remembered this
Oh stranger stranger
Stranger things have happened, I know
Oh, oh
Oh, oh
I'm not alone
Dear loneliness
I forgot
That I remembered this
You were not alone
Dear loneliness
You forgot
But I remembered this
Oh stranger stranger
Stranger things have happened, I know
I'm not alone
Dear loneliness
I forgot
That I remember this
Oh stranger stranger
Stranger things have happened, I know
Oh, oh
